Questions, answered

How much should I take, and how do I use it?

Adults: one teaspoon a day. Children aged 5–12: half a teaspoon. Please don’t go over the recommended daily amount. Stir it, shake it or blend it into cool water, a smoothie, juice or food. New to greens? Start with a little less and see how you like it.

What does alfalfa taste like — and how do I make it taste good?

Very gentle and mild. Most people barely taste it, so it’s easy to enjoy in a warm cup, stirred through plant-based yoghurt or blended into a smoothie.

When’s the best time to take it?

Whenever suits your day. A morning glass, a post-gym smoothie, a desk-side drink or a warm evening cup all work. It’s fine with or without food, and if you miss a day, just pick it up again.

Can I add it to hot drinks or cooking?

Keep it cool or just warm rather than boiling — high heat can dull the colour and character of the fresh leaf. Stir it into cool drinks and smoothies, whisk it into warm (not hot) plant milk, or add it at the very end of cooking.

Can I take more than one green, or switch between them?

Yes. Mix them up through your week, or stay with your favourite. Just keep each green within its recommended daily amount.

Will it replace my vegetables or a meal?

No. Think of it as a little more green alongside a varied, balanced diet. It’s not a replacement for whole vegetables or meals.

How is it made?

Alfalfa leaves, gently dried to keep their colour and gentle flavour. It comes to you in a resealable kraft-paper pouch.

Is it vegan, and are there any additives or allergens?

Yes, it’s 100% plant-based and vegan. The ingredient list is simply alfalfa powder, and the pack declares no allergens. If you have a specific allergy, check the pack or get in touch before trying it.

Is it suitable for children, or during pregnancy?

Half a teaspoon a day suits children aged 5–12; for younger children, check with your paediatrician first. If you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or on medication, it’s best to speak to your doctor before adding any new supplement.

How should I store it, and how long does it keep?

Keep it sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight — no need to refrigerate. Use the best-before date on the pack as your guide, and it’s freshest within a few months of opening.

Why does the colour or taste vary a little between packs?

It’s a natural plant food, so small shifts in shade or flavour from batch to batch are completely normal, just like fresh produce.
